A picture is worth a thousand words, so why not use more images in your dashboard?

Have you ever tried to use product or colleague images instead of names as a filter in your Tableau Dashboards? Tableau offers URL actions, background images and shapes in order to use pictures in your dashboards. It requires a lot of work to get your images all prepped up to be used in your dashboards the standard way. In addition, they still remain static or low resolution elements that thicken up the size of your workbook.

Cards Layout

You can visualize your data in two types of layouts. The Cards Layout gives you a clean view of your products. You can click on them and see their performance in the metrics on the right.

Table Layout

The Table Layout provides you product images, alongside important information for each product, such as serial number, quantity and total sales. You can again see their performance by clicking.

Group Cards with Table layout

The Aggregated Card with Table allows users to embed an interactive table within each card to view the details of each specific item. The table can be used interactively to sort columns using the included buttons, making it a versatile tool for data analysis.

Group Cards with Mini Cards Layout

The images of aggregated rows can be viewed as mini cards along with the aggregated card. By clicking on the mini card, the details of that item can be viewed in the main card. This feature offers a simple and visually appealing way to explore row values, enhancing the user interface of your dashboards.

Vertical Group Table Layout

The Aggregation Table Layout comes in two vertical and horizontal views. It allows users to group rows together, providing quick and easy insights. The interactive table offers to sort all columns within the app, giving users control and flexibility. Users can also remove aggregation or aggregate on other columns with a click, streamlining customisation and saving time.

Super Interactive

PictureThis is interactive and easy to use. Users can click on the images for information, they can sort and search for the records they need. The self-service is on another level!

Export to Excel and PDF

At any time you can export your dashboards to PDF or Excel with the corresponding images and barcodes. This way, you can easily use the data for reports or collaboration with others.

Flipped Image

Now users have the ability to add a back image column to their existing images. This allows for a more immersive and interactive experience as users can hover over an image to reveal its back image.
